Next Chapter Neighborhoods, a corporation based in Georgia, has requested that O'Fallon, IL annex land adjacent to the Bristol Hill Community with plans to develop the land with high density housing. This large rental development poses multiple problems and concerns for the surrounding residents. Thus, we oppose the annexation and subsequent development of the land by Next Chapter Neighborhoods.

Our concerns include but are not limited to the following:

1. Destruction of the natural beauty, including woods, wetlands, and fields, that surround our community.
2. Potential for adverse impacts to existing home values.
3. Increased traffic congestion on Thouvenot Ln., one of the most highly trafficked roads in the county.
4. Overcrowding in Central District Schools.
5. Environmental impacts and displacement of wildlife habitat.
6. Construction noise.
7. Adverse impact to the local agricultural industry and farmers 
8. No preference for local sourced business. Next Chapter is headquartered in Georgia.
9. Unknown impacts to watershed and the water table.

These residents demand that Ofallon elected officials refuse Next Chapter's development.
