Jon Pendragon started this petition to Blizzard Entertainment and

I've never done this before, so if someone wants to help me say this or make suggestions, please do so.  I think this would give Blizzard something it could use for future losses as they do happen.

In MMORPGS we make bonds and connections with many people.  Some go on to be great friends.  Sadly, we lose them and if we had no other connection to them, they are gone forever.

My idea is this: we are currently in the Afterlife realm(s) of World of Warcraft, called the Shadowlands (for those who don't know).  There are unlimited afterlives in the Shadowlands.  There should be one for fallen champions who were taken by any reason, but had served so much in life that they could retire in paradise.  Technically, they could also choose to help the other realms, but the Arbitor deemed them worthy of having an afterlife where they didn't need to do anything but just retire pretty much.

We can use this realm for some NPC or heroes that were lost in game, but we can also use this for players who were taken and made such an impact that they can be memorialized in this realm.  It's silly to make extra NPCs that really serve no purpose for a memorial, but with the Shadowlands, we have the option of giving them a home.

We could make this a zone that has some activities in, but really it's supposed to be a paradise (that needs saving).

Recently, the Blizzard, the World of Warcraft, the BlizzCon, and BlizzCon Cosplay communities lost a great person, Jarond Nandin aka Jarod: NWBZPNR.  If you don't know him by name, he was the guy who cosplayed "The guy with no life" from the World of Warcraft episode of South Park.  Jarod always inspired people, he was uplifting, he gave confidence, and he was a friend to everyone he could.  He kept his personal problems to those close to him, but he was always positive about it.

In December, he contracted COVID and he had breathing issues already, so COVID was dangerous.  Jarod was always careful, he wore his masks, he social distanced, but unfortunately someone who was not passed the virus to him.  The entire time in the hospital, Jarod gave hope and positive messages to us, but I feel he kept what he knew to himself and to family.

Having an afterlife realm for champions, could allow people to petition to put friends & whatnot we've lost in a place for them to be remembered.  I imagine Jarod's NPC would be a male Kultiran dressed in the same fashion as Jarod's cosplay of the "guy with no life" from South Park.  We could also have another version of Jarod's cosplay of D.Va from Overwatch.

As he was a cosplayer, he could also be a vendor for special items that are for transmog and be cosmetic use only, to allow players to have that as their appearance.  I prefer the South Park NPC though because we could put him at a desk with a computer and have him sell stuff.  Perhaps to unlock him as a vendor, we'd have to help him do something related to that episode or bring snacks so he can continue playing or doing whatever the NPC is doing in-game.

It is the afterlife after all, and it is from many different worlds, so it's possible that he came from a world more advanced than Azeroth where they had computers and video games.

There are so many people we lost and that inspired us, and that were major parts of the WoW and Blizzard communities.  We could even put players from other Blizzard games in there, as again, one Shadowlands with infinite afterlives, so it's possible to see NPCs resembling those from other games.
