Overwatch 2 was announced two years ago. Since then, there have been no updates to the game. Overwatch is a game with many fans. It is adored by many people. Currently, the fanbase has been driven away by many glaring issues. For example, Overwatch developers have not implemented anti-cheat software, fixed the smurfing issue, or added new characters. These are the primary issues players of Overwatch face. Overwatch 2 claimed to remedy these issues. Instead, Overwatch 2 has been delayed countless times. Meanwhile, Overwatch has been left behind. I have created this petition to ask developers and managers of Overwatch to cancel production. We do not need Overwatch 2. Overwatch is extremely enjoyable as is. Players would return with frequent updates, new characters, changes to the MMR system to prevent smurfing, and anti-cheat software similar to that of Valorant's. Games such as League of Legends have remained extraordinarily popular while maintaining the same gameplay of 5v5 with the same roles. We do not need 5v5. We need more characters, frequent updates, and quality of life changes. Please sign this petition to stop Overwatch 2 and instead focus on improving Overwatch.
