The rent situation in New Brunswick has become quite appalling.  As a New Brunswicker who has lived in Ontario and rented almost my whole adult life, I have seen rents in major cities such as Toronto and Ottawa rent prices compare to what New Brunswick prices are now.  We do not have the wages or economy to support this kind of rent hike.  

With the recent pandemic there was also a huge hike in real estate pricing.  This has left many New Brunswickers with no options for housing.  In the legislation it states that everyone is entitled to affordable housing.  I, myself, have a very well paying job for New Brunswick and have found myself in the very situation some of these people are facing.  

Something needs to be done or the homeless situation here in NB will only get way worse.
