I hope New Brunswickers can achieve a fair voting system by September 14, 2020.  As it stands, I fear that several students will not get the chance to vote.  

I have a major concern with the idea of not allowing voting on NB campuses.  We made it accessible for students to vote on campus in the last election and they should continue to be treated with the same consideration.  We must meet the students where they can be met.

I believe that selecting the date September 14 may further discourage many Students to vote, as they are trying to get into a routine of dedicated studies. We should not impose additional stressors of expecting them to scramble for time and transportation to go check an X into a box.

As I have recently learned, the Elections Act sets out a minimum number of days (28) and maximum (38) for an unscheduled general election. The government selects the duration of the campaign. Mr. Higgs could have added up to 10 additional campaign days, but instead chose to speed it up (28 day campaign). 

If students cannot vote on campus due to the logistics and timelines, then perhaps the elections should be postponed by at least 10 days to determine and address the logistics. If we do not have the resources to ensure fairness, then now is not the time for an election.
