Dear Mayor of Blacktown council,

We the residents of the newly created Grantham Farm suburb request you to expedite the construction of a recreational park at 115 Crown Street.

Even after six years, our housing area with mostly young families, does not have access to recreational spaces. This situation has been exacerbated by the recent lockdowns restricting travel to our neighboring suburbs with established amenities.  

We understand that the land has formally been re-zoned to RE1. However, construction is not expected to start for at least another four years! Several families are planning to move out of Grantham Farm for this very reason.

Please work on reducing the timeline for the safety and well being of our children. In the meanwhile, we will accept a park with reduced facilities until funding becomes available. All we ask is that the excess vegetation is cleared, existing fences be removed so the residents can have access to the space.
