Petitioning Blackfoot City Council and 1 other

Save Blackfoot's landmark water towers from demolition.

The city of Blackfoot council has voted at some point to take down Blackfoot's two water towers that most people find to be historic landmarks. For many of us the towers have long symbolized the town, and upon seeing them you knew you were home. They stand out as a marker from any direction of where Blackfoot is. At a time when Blackfoot is being revitalized we cannot afford to lose such landmarks. Generations of citizens have known these towers. We the people feel we were not given a voice in this matter. At times city council meetings are not advertised through enough appropriate means to reach all of our community. We hope to see the community stand up and fight back, whether it's a memory, an idea, or even a PokeStop, let's not lose a great piece of our hometown history. Sign the petition, but alone that is not enough. Come to City Hall to the city council meeting on August 15th at 7pm to make sure your voice is heard. In a world with so much changing, we cannot forget where we came from.
