Blackfeet Native's Wife's Green Card Petition
Blackfeet Native's Wife's Green Card Petition
Why this petition matters
I am a Blackfeet Native American, I married my wife Gyongyi, on June 13th in the US. I have tried everything to sponsor her by having a job, where I was making $40,000 a year. Previously, I had my own business but it was not successful & did not file taxes due to my very little earnings. The immigration attorney said that I would need to find a co-sponsor to be able to apply for adjustment of status for my wife and her child because I did not file tax return in the previous years. I was not able to find anyone who would co-sponsor our application. Unfortunately, we were also homeless in the United States, living in a trailer with no amenities, for 4 months. As the time went by, my wife's visa has expired and we had to travel back to the United Kingdom as we did not want to separate from each other. Sadly, I can only stay here for 6 months on a visitors visa that does not allow me to work; and my wife is not eligible to apply for a spouse visa for me in the United Kingdom because her annual earnings are too low. We are currently facing homelessness with a 9 year old child again, as we were unable to secure accommodation, due to our circumstances.
I am petitioning the United States Government to offer my wife & child legal citizenship in the United States of America with the approval of the President of the United States of America. So please, Mr. President, do everything in your power. Thank you.
Respectfully Yours,
James Lane - Takoda Heavyrunner
