Defer all final modules for 3rd year students in higher education until September.
Why this petition matters

We are calling for the all final modules for 3rd year students in higher education to be deferred until September. Our university education has been heavily impacted by the COVID-19 outbreak, meaning that we currently have limited access to teaching and resources. This will be a detriment to our degree. We ask for this to ensure that COVID-19 does not ruin our chances of getting our justified results.
The petition is asking Blackburn College University Centre, to take into account these extraordinary and unprecedented conditions. Many students will be struggling to study in an environment that will not allow them to demonstrate their full potential. This coupled with the limited resources and teaching at home will further damage their higher education experience and grading.
Looking at Blackburn College's mission statement, we as students feel that they are failing to achieve any of these points. We are lacking the support, commitment and resources to achieve our full potential. In addition, we as students are not receiving the same quality of teaching or respect as previous graduates, due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
It is unfair that we are required to pay the full £8250 despite having less resources and teaching. Therefore, it only seems fair to have the chance to complete our degrees as properly intended and acquire the grades that we deserve. We’d like to finish by saying we appreciate the measures Blackburn College University Centre has organised so far but do hope that they listen to our concerns and do the right thing.
