Have you been on google today? Go there right now and type in "Tyler Perry net worth". Surprising? No, not really. I mean the man has done a lot the past eighteen years since we were introduced to him in the black community as Madea in his stage plays. Some of us were even fortunate to witness that in the last days of "a bootleg DVD".  Now granted  I may not speak for everyone when saying this, but Madea is a classic character up there with other comedians and actors who have worn a "dress for success" at some point in their career. Flip Wilson, Eddie Murphy, Martin Lawrence, Jamie Foxx and many more. We could dive into that for another discussion, unfortunately this petition is only centered around Tyler Perry and not even for that reason. Let's get straight the point, we love us some Tyler Perry in the black community and this petition isn't to start a hate campaign against him. He's done a lot for Actors of color, men and women, even transforming Atlanta to "Black Hollywood" with his TP Studios. Over the years he has written, produced, directed and executive produced some great television shows and box office movie hits. We appreciate it so much Tyler Perry and we want you to continue doing this for the culture, but as stated before let me go ahead and get to the point of this petition...WE NEED SOME NEW FACES, NEW TALENT, NEW WRITERS, NEW DIRECTORS! There are so many aspiring black filmmakers out here putting in the work who would love a chance to work for you, under you as a mentor and so much more valuable things we could gain about this industry! WE, being myself included. I admire Tyler Perry dearly and respect his work, but enough is enough. Tyler Perry has taken over a current show on BET+ by the name of "All The Queen's Men". This show was created by Christian Keyes and based on a novel written by him. It stars Eva Marcelle and a few other up and coming or well known Actors. The first season was amazingly executed and had myself along with many other viewers anticipating a Season 2 premiered on July 14th with two episodes every Thursday. Tyler Perry has taken over the show and his poor, repetitive writing is messing up a once great show so bad that I had to start this petition and say something! I do believe Tyler Perry is a great writer, but he is also a repetitive writer. His storylines are dragged out and all over the place now to the point where the episodes in a show have no character development or effective writing to build up the climax of the show's concept. All we, the people who sign this petition are asking is for Tyler Perry ti open the doors of his studio to some fresh talent and support/finance them so that we can continue to build on the legacy he has started with TP Studios. We want to support and will continue to support all that he does, but this horrible writing of movies and TV shows he's been curating and had a hand in the last few years have gotten way out of hand. Let's come together as a community to get this to Tyler so that he can see we care about the legacy of his career and shows, not just the money. I hope he takes it into consideration and see the quality over quantity of all the money he's bringing in.
