Started by Russell Williams

The social issue of Black Lives Matter is dedicated to fighting racism and anti black violence people of color in the United States are more likely to be killed by police than white people Black Lives Matter is a nonprofit civil right orginazation that was founded in 2013. Black Lives Matter is expanding more and more everyday for the purpose of racial equality and social justice the unjust killing of African Americans has been going on forever in America which roots all the way back to slavery we are in 2022 and still witness killing of unarmed individuals and the one thing that the victims of these shootings always have in common is their skin color most the time being black was the only crime committed it is time for this to come to a stop things such as racial profiling have led to so many deaths of unarmed  black people and nothing ever changes it has just been a consistent cycle that is so continous. Black Lives Matter seeks to draw attention to the many ways in which black people are treated unfairly in society and the ways in which institutions, laws, and policies help to perpetuate that unfairness. Black Lives Matter seeks to combat police brutality, the over policing of minority neighborhoods, and the abuses committed by for profit jails it's efforts have included calls for better training for police and greater accountability for police misconduct . Black Lives Matter activist have called for defunding the police and investing the freed up funds in community social services, such as things like mental health and conflict resolution problems.
