Tina Hawkins started this petition to Black Americans

Dear Black America this country is going through something most of us have never seen before in our lifetime. When this pandemic is over, we will see the loss of breadwinners whose families will struggle to make their lives whole again. Black people must take this moment and start businesses in every Black zip code across America.

If each community member would contribute $5 to $15 a month a coalition of neighborhoods could create jobs for the residents. Businesses would be owned by the residents so there are no duplicate businesses. They could be manufacturing, high-tech, grocery stores, etc. Let Claud Anderson's "PowerNomics" be our guide. We're also facing a housing crisis; residents could contribute $5 or more each month to purchase quality housing for our people.

And last, we must create an education system for our children, one that will make them love themselves and uplift our community. We can no longer wait for some entity to deliver our humanity to us. Let us commit to building up our neighborhoods to make them prosperous places to live and thrive. Please sign and share petition on social media. Let's join our neighbors, select a committee and get to work. May God Be With Us
