the texts in the bible are ambiguous at best and misunderstood at worst. It is not for a Church founded on the divorce of a King to impose absurd conditions about inclusion. It is time for the Anglican communion to recognise that marriage is a contract blessed by God. It is the duty of the Church to communicate that blessing in as wide a way possible and not to restrict it because of political anxiety. Grow up!

This is important because it's not a matter of "equal rights" but a matter of "HUMAN rights". Being "gay" is not a choice - I'm convinced that one is born that way or not that way - and why should something one is born with be a reason to discriminate? Jesus said to love one another - no conditions, nothing else - why can't we all just do that and let gays who want to marry marry?

I know how important is to a number of friends to marry the one they love in a church-sanctified ceremony that strengthens and enriches their loving relationship.

Christ embraced all except the money lenders. When are all Christian churches going to live His teachings?
