First, we want to express our profound appreciation for you and all that you do for the St. Henry community. We are grateful for all the ways you love and serve us. We know it has been a difficult task to navigate the St. Henry community through this unprecedented pandemic.

We are parents, grandparents, alumni, benefactors, parishioners, and friends of St. Henry Church and School—many of us with memories of St. Henry going back decades.

We are writing to you because we strongly believe that masks should be optional—not mandatory—at St. Henry School. The faculty, staff, and children deserve medical freedom and the right to follow their own conscience in this matter. A mask mandate is not in the best interest of our children.

And so, with the utmost respect and charity, we implore you to utilize the authority given to you as the leaders of St. Henry School to adjust the mask policy. 

In addition, we are aware of other diocesan school administrators who have chosen to modify or decline the mask mandate in their schools.
