Sophie Rier started this petition to Bishop Ireton Administration

Bishop Ireton is trying to phase in their newly redesigned uniform at an extremely fast pace. Their plan to "grandfather" the new uniforms in includes that the senior class of 2020 would be forced to spend upwards of five hundred dollars on a uniform that they would only wear for one year. This is an exorbitant price to pay for one year of school. Many Bishop Ireton students in the class of 2020 would have a hard time bearing the extra cost on top of college application fees that often exceed five hundred dollars as well. Considering that we would not be able to receive any money for our old uniforms once we can no longer wear them, the cost of a new uniform is one that is simply too large to impose on a class that would only be able to make use of it for one school year before having to sell them back for less than what was paid originally. The Class of 2020, along with their parents, would like to formally request that the Class of 2020 is able to wear their current uniforms for their final year of high school, or that the new uniform is offered at a significant discount for rising seniors. We appreciate being able to voice these concerns to administration, and would be happy to work with them to address this issue.
