The historical town of Bishop Auckland is littered with beautiful architecture, upcoming projects to improve the area and dog faeces.

i recently moved to the area, the proximity to beach, countryside or city is great for families. The town is  witnessing huge amount of positive development which is raising the town’s profile and will improve tourism and general footfall. 

All this good work is tainted by the streets dog poo problems, it’s an absolute disgrace and health hazard. This is gathering social media attention and impacting all of our lives, potential livelihoods and well being.

The quantity of incidents isn’t down to an isolated few, it’s endemic across the town and therefore needs a concerted support and effort at the very highest level and from us all to manage this culture change.
