It is wrong to take away a choice from people. This may lead to many women sitting at home not being able to get further education because they cannot be accepted by the college due to a choice in dress. We have freedom to wear what we want and be who we want in the west. Places like this are taking the choice away. It is leading to dictatorship.

I am signing the petition because i am against the banning of wearing the burqa (veil) in certain places in this country. Everyone is entitiled to wear what they like, depending on their religion or culture. Furthermore, the majority of women in Islam choose to wear the burqa, through personal choice, and however, is NOT forced upon by muslim men.

Muslims have the right to dress modestly. Just like others have the right to walk around half naked.

Is the UK no longer democratic? Live & let live! There are much more serious issues this country needs to deal with rather than being petty & not allowing students to follow their beliefs.
