Public services are vital. BCC make their cuts wrong. Look after the Children and the elderly first . what does the upkeep of the Art Museum cost? Do we own any of the paintings/ works of art or are we renting them and paying extortionate insurance costs for the pleasure of the few.>

when will the council realise all these cuts within child services is not working, I would like to know since the closure of children's homes in 2013, how much money they have saved, if as proposed the young people were all fostered, or placed in indendant living, what the impact emotionally, socially this has had on these vunrable Young people.

cuts affect people from all walks of life. parents depend on some of these services to enable thier children to achieve positive outcomes. Resources often assit parents to cope with the demand of a changing culture. Times are changing and society needs the assitance to move with these changes. EG publis libraries offer great facilities for children in our ever changing ways of communication and learning, I as a hard working parent does not have the funding for the latest technology. the local library assits a great deal. For safety reasons I would not feel confident for my child to go into the city centre

As an employee of Birmingham City Council's People's Directorate I can see on a daily basis how it is impossible to continue to ensure the safety and emotional well-being of C/YP if the current cuts continue.
