Mary Hyland started this petition to Birmingham City Council

Public toilets have been closed in kings heath park since March 2020 due to covid19.   However despite the government encouraging meeting outdoors, exercising outdoors and many other outdoor activities the toilets remain closed.  The cafe has reopened for takeaway drinks, but where is the sense in that.   The very young, the disabled and senior citizens are more likely to need toilet facilities and are being discriminated against.  It can be very distressing ‘to be caught short’ in a public space.   Out of respect for its residents and a sense of decency, reopen the toilets now.   Sharing toilet facilities with the public is very safe as only one person at a time enters the cubicle, we wash our hands, can wear a mask, all of the things we do when sharing toilet facilities in the workplace.  I have contacted local councillors and my MP without success so this is a job for the people.  Please sign this petition
