Sabrine Abdul Rahman started this petition to Birmingham City Council

Over the past few months there has been an increase in car accidents at the give way intersection between Edward Road/ Hallam Street and Lincoln Street.

As a community we would like Birmingham City Council to introduce traffic lights at the give way intersection between Edward Road/ Hallam Street and Lincoln Street in order to keep everyone safe.

The area is a residential area with many people passing every day, if nothing is being done and crashes continue the area ultimately becomes unsafe and people’s live are being put at risk.

We would like Birmingham city council to show their support to the community and help us keep everyone safe. With schools and nurseries nearby you can imagine the amount of children around the crash hotspot.

The crash hotspot was previously a roundabout however there was still many accidents which is why we are asking for a traffic light system to help us reduce if not completely stop accidents happening at this crash hotspot.

If you believe that it is the right decision to introduce traffic lights at the give way intersection between Edward Road/ Hallam Street and Lincoln Street please sign and share this petition to help us reach as many people as we can.
