Did you know that Birds Bakery throw away all of the food and produce they don't sell every day.

Im sure alot of other Bakeries also do the same. Yes I realise they have to monitor all of their waste, but why not give it to the homeless or to food banks?

They could put a notice in their shops advertising that at 5PM..the food could be collected..no guarantees of what if in fact if any..but surely..it would be better to give it away than to  throw it.

Its such a waste. There are a lot of Bakeries all over the Midlands..and Birds are so well known and loved...they need to start sharing the food they don't sell and make people feel loved and feel like they matter . They will probably make excuses as to why they cant do it..just incase someone gets food poisoning and sues them...I'm talking about the fresh food they sell every day. They could do a disclaimer to cover themselves. 

People's situations  can change so very quickly the community need to pull together and get all food shops to help their community. A small gesture can go a long way.

Please make a difference to the homeless and put some food in their bellies.
