Currently at our school plastic cups are available near the water dispenser. As you may know, these cups are located in the lunch hall, and hundreds of girls every day flock there to use these cups. This has a hugely negative impact on our environment, and our schools sustainable foot print as a whole. 500 billion plastic cups are used everyday world wide. Does our school want to be a part of this? The cost it takes to shift from plastic cups to biodegradable/paper ones is small, especially when compared to the huge positive effect it will have.
