Petition against the new recording studio time allocation

This petition made change with 48 supporters!

As many music production students are aware, we have had our recording time allocation at Brighton Electric Studios severely reduced this year.

We now only receive 8 hours a year in Brighton Electric to work on our assignments. These have to be taken as a group (even though our assignments are individual projects). So even 4 people per group would allocate each student with 2 hours a year to hone and improve their personal skills at production.

Although we have been given new mixing facilities, these are also on a tight restricted group allocation. These are huge restrictions, and will most definitely reduce YOUR hands on learning and understanding of studio production, and potentially your overall grades.

We production students need a far greater allocation of studio time, so that we can achieve our professional ambitions.

Signing this petition will send your voice to Bimm Brighton, and hopefully we can work together to create a more suitable solution.

* It should be noted that this petition isn't intending any promotion of disharmony between students and Bimm. It is merely to be used as a headcount of sorts, to highlight how many students feel the same regarding this matter. Any petition signatures will merely be presented as a general headcount to Bimm, and to act as a voice on this particular matter.
