Petitioning Minister for Workplace Relations Bill Shorten

Save QLD Working Women's Service after its axing by Campbell Newman

Campbell Newman's newly formed Queensland Government has announced it will no longer provide funding to the Queensland Working Women's Service (QWWS), despite QWWS being a valuable safety-net for working women for 18 years. This decision will result in the close of QWWS, leaving women in Queensland who are not union members with no one to turn to when they experience unfairness and discrimination at work. Women will no longer have access to this community organisation for information, advice or advocacy when they face unfair dismissal, discrimination or sexual harassment in the workplace. Sign this petition to the federal government to step in and give women back this important safety-net!
