Restore the exemption of food inspection charges for very small businesses
This petition had 1,175 supporters
These inspections are not for the benefit of the business but for the public. Therefore the public should pay through taxes – as they always have done. Very small food businesses cannot budget for these random visits and so would suffer real hardship. Businesses have told us too that the proposal could lead to practices akin to bribery or intimidation. Voting on this is on 14th April, so please sign quickly, or accept the consequences.
We will be sending the results - over 800 signatures so far - to all UK MEPs on Friday.
