Right To Choose - Unvaccinated should receive refund for Pilgrimage Festival
We, as American citizens, while the decision is still ours to make, have the right to choose whether we are vaccinated or not. When we purchased tickets to attend the Pilgrimage Festival in May of 2021, there were no Covid requirements. Fast forward to August 26th and a memo is send out stating vaccination cards with a second/final dosage date of no later than September 11th OR a negative covid test 48 hours prior to the first day of the festival is required. Here’s the kicker, had every single person that bought tickets prior to this implementation decided that day on August 26th that they were going to get vaccinated, there was still no way to be fully vaccinated before the September 11th cutoff date. As far as the negative test, unvaccinated or vaccinated, the virus can still be transmitted or carried by a completely asymptomatic host. For those of us unvaccinated, it is financially harmful to take the chance, 48 hours prior to the festival, of testing positive while exhibiting NO symptoms. Those of us that purchased the insurance with the tickets are still not covered in this instance. This is not political, this is freedom of choice. Our God given right bestowed upon us by this country. We are simply asking for a refund. Nothing more and certainly nothing less.
