Free Micah Johnson after 14 years of incarceration. His family and friends need him back.
Micah Johnson has been incarcerated for 14 years since he was 21 years old, and his case was remanded for new trial due to ineffective assistance of counsel this January. That means he will get a new trial.
While in prison he has earned a degree from Nashville State Community College, donated his own art to charities and churches, and works in a shop that repairs wheelchairs for disabled men, women, and children around the world.
He helped take care of and cleaned after prisoners during the covid-19 pandemic catching Covid three times and helped to build a temporary Covid-19 hospital at the prison.
After losing his Father to COPD and Grandfather to Covid-19 only 6 days apart last year, his family were devastated, and they are trying to keep the family together.
Micah has dedicated his life to his family and friends and giving back to the world because he enjoys being a good person and feels he must do so in order to find redemption in this life.
We should care about those who sincerely seek redemption and after proving himself in prison, we think that Micah Johnson deserves a second chance to continue helping himself, his family, and the community by being freed from incarceration.
