Currently, the Rhode Island General Assembly has been reviewing Bill H-7941, a bill that would create multi-family apartment units in the state to house low-income families.

To help get this bill passed, we have developed a team of social work students from Rhode Island College. We are seeking 100 signatures by April 24, 2022, that we may present to the members of our General Assembly. The Assembly placed H-7941 in further review on March 31st, 2022, meaning that we must push this bill forward. We are hoping that this petition shows the General Assembly that the people of our state are demanding shelter for homeless families.
