As a Veteran of the United States of America, I am calling for Senator Brian Birdwell and Representative Bill Flores to step in and demand unbiased oversight into the events that unfolded at the Twin Peaks, Waco Texas restaurant on May 17th, 2015.
I am also demanding the ACLU to step in as well. The
ACLU has been on the frontline battling for American Citizen's inalienable rights under the constitution. Why are they not doing anything for the 170 Americans sitting in a Waco, TX detention center held at a million dollar bail?
We need the ACLU, Senator Birdwell and Congressman Flores to demand Waco PD, ATF and the other Federal Law Enforcement Agencies involved in the Waco Twin Peaks incident to release all cctv security footage, police dash and personal camera feeds, reports of ballistics and data pertinent to charging 170 Americans as criminals. Freedom of information and due process is something that must be adhered to.
The slander by the Waco PD spokesperson, Swanton, has not been cleaned up either. There were thugs who showed up to the peaceful assembly of the Motorcycle Confederation of Clubs (identified by cctv). But not all of those who were attending were gang members. Motorcycle clubs who advocate against child abuse, veteran's clubs who advocate for our missing in action and P.O.Ws (who were present when the police shooting started) were arrested as engaging in organized crime.
Now, the world will always see the 170 arrested- even after their release without charges- as gang members.
If it was a Baltimore situation- we would see daily riots if these demographics were reversed. Instead, we have American Hispanics, Caucasians and other ethnicities- whose only crime that day was to ride motorcycles and assemble to discuss motorcycle legislation; a First Amendment right. Where is the public outrage from our elected officials???
The collective views of other American Citizens who have been following these events feel the charges are trumped up to a point where we question the legality of the Courts and LEO involved. We worry the evidence is being manipulated and covered up. News is being suppressed- Waco police spokeswoman, Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton, is the only source of biased updates.
No one (other than paid legal counselors) is pushing to have these Americans' rights restored. As a US Military Veteran; I fought to defend our constitutional rights...for everyone. Their Eighth Amendment rights were Violated day one with the bail set at a Million dollars and each person charged with the same cut & pasted charges.
What about their Miranda rights. It is known that the parties not involved in the discharge of firearms (between the Waco PD and Federal Law Enforcement agents)- American Citizens, were subsequently detained for hours. They were told that they were only going to be processed for their statements. Next thing they knew they were shuttled off to Jail hours after that.
People are pointing out what they perceived as "inequality" between the Baltimore suspects detained and the Waco detainees.
That's because the Waco PD lied to each person rounded up for questioning. Then, hours later when a bus arrived, they were forced onto a bus and then notified they were being arrested afterwards.
We need to hold those involved accountable. We need an outside advocate to protect the American Citizens who were not involved in what the media has dubbed the "waco shootout" and demand the right to due process.
