Vehicle blind spots have often resulted in the injury and even death of children and adults who are not in the driver's view. Blind spots are areas around a vehicle that prevent the driver from seeing any objects or people that may be in the way. Mostly large vehicles such as trucks and buses have blind spots since drivers are unable to completely see objects behind the vehicle. One possible solution to the issue of blind spots of large vehicles is the installation of cameras in these areas that will drivers complete vision around the vehicle. This petition aims at creating a policy that will lead to the installation of these cameras on buses and trucks in New York City in order to decrease the rate of accidents and deaths of bystanders.
