I've run regularly in Prospect Park since 1996. I run there because it's often closed to traffic. Getting the cars out completely would help ensure safety of all park users.

I'm tired of smelling auto exhaust while exercising and I feel parks should be relaxing, automobile free zones.

1) people drive way too fast in the park
2) the amount of people who use the park during rush hour far exceeds the relatively tiny segment of the population who benefits from driving through it
3) There's no way use of the park has a dramatic impact on traffic.

A car free park is a safer park!

In the time I was away (5 years in Ohio), it was obvious the increase of cyclists on the streets and especially in the Parks. As a former Brooklynite and Manhattanite, I know how these Parks have been impacted. Before leaving, safety was a concern. I also drive and have the experience as cyclist and driver. I believe the residents, children and tourists would benefit from car-free parks.

I use the parks for running and biking, and the cars can be aggressive and dangerous. The parks are simply too busy for cars any more!

cars have no place in the park, but there should also be speed limits and traffic rules enforcement for cyclists

Cars are a hazard in the park now that there are so many, many users on foot and on bikes every day. Especially in the summer.
Some of the cars still drive way too fast in there.

I hate having to navigate amongst cars while running in the park. It's dangerous and unnecessary.
