Problem
Public toilets of Bihar Sharif is in a very dirty condition. The government has made many toilets in Bihar Sharif urban area but without caring, the conditions of toilets become very pathetic. There are no doors and no water. Women and men, both entrances of toilets are totally open. Passerby can't even pass from there because it emits a foul smell. In the night, it becomes too dark that you can't find toilets there. There are only urinals but there are no latrines. So, people are just going to the loo(fecal matter) there and then you can't even pee (urination). There should be separate latrines and urinals for men and women and it should be chargeable. Overall, there are no doors, no lights, no water, no cleaning, and no maintenance.

Solution
The Bihar Shaif Municipal Corporation and district authority of Nalanda should announce an annually tender for maintaining and cleaning of all public toilets in Bihar Sharif urban areas. There should be every tank on the rooftop of toilets and there should be flush for cleaning toilets. Solar lights should be installed for proper lighting.  They should dig to make separate latrines and urinals for men and women and it should be charged at a minimum rate. There should be proper monitoring and if there is any dissatisfactory work, tenders can be revoked in one month time period.

Personal story
Once, I tried to enter a public toilet near Vandana Cinema Hall. But, to shame I am unable to find water and there is no proper cleaning. This is the same condition everywhere. If the problem would not be sorted out, all public toilets would soon destroy without proper maintenance.
