Pravin Chawdhry started this petition to Bhopal Municipal Corporation and

Friends, The MP Housing Board Colony at Bagh Mugalia and Bagh Mugalia Extension is now about 25 years old. The MP Housing Board, in 1990's, promised the aspiring home buyers, many of whom were govt servants, about an open, clean and green residential colony in the capital city of Bhopal - 'the Heart of India'. I remember to have been pursued by the authorities in MP Housing Board through personal letters and project brochures highlighting the benefits of buying a house in Bagh Mugalia Ext. Open spaces/ parks were one of those attractions. The layout of the 'Extension' part, in particular, was/ is really good, with reasonably wide roads and well-distributed 'parks' (or open spaces left at that time for further developing them into public parks).

However, things have not happened in the right direction for these open spaces. All these 'spaces for park' are lying unattended and neglected - even in this COVID time, when every citizen is desperate to have clean air. The barbed-wire fence that was erected initially has gone long back. Residents continue to be unable to utilize these areas even for morning-walk, and children cannot play there - with stones and boulders spread all over and no amenity at all.

Please sign my petition to shake up the concerned authorities to make Bagh Mugalia/ Bagh Mugalia Ext colonies what these were promised to be. Residents have the right to a fresh environment, clean air, and a healthy neighbourhood.
