Beyond Meat is one of the biggest plant-based meat businesses out there. They’ve taken the world by storm with their products and made plant-based foods an option at some of the biggest fast food establishments (i.e. Burger King, KFC, A&W).

This is all fine and dandy until you discover that the “plant-based” marketed burger with no animal products whatsoever is NOT vegan.

When the “manufacturers” of Beyond Meat makes new products, the workers sometimes use meat to chew or taste in order to make their products similar. 

If you know the conditions of slaughterhouses and all that goes on in the meat (and dairy industry), you’d know how disappointed many of us vegans were.

For once, in a world dominated by using animals and their bodies, secretions, and labor as commodities to satisfy our human wants (in everything from cereal to toilet tissue), we thought we’d get a meal without any of this. Unfortunately that is not the case.

So I ask you to sign this petition. It will make this world a bit better for the animals and people involved. It is not necessary to continue this process, especially not when Beyond Meat has already established such a unique taste.

If all else fails, they could just make a good tasting burger, not one that needs to taste like the flesh of another being OR a burger that requires the chewing of this flesh just for it to get spat out (again, just like a commodity). It’s just not necessary.
