Better Bus Service for Bevendean
Better Bus Service for Bevendean
Bevendean residents have for a long time have had to endure the unsatisfactory 48 bus service - it is particularly bad at the moment with buses being taken off at crucial times and buses being late. On Sundays there is only two an hour.
Bevendean residents are a diverse community of professional workers, young families, the elderly, and students who all have to rely on this bus service to get and from school, universities, work, and important medical appointments. However, we are being provided with a shoddy service that is actually quite expensive.
Bevendean has a nursery, primary school, various nursing homes, project groups, a Salvation Army - which all need a reliable bus service.
Other bus services are lucky to have more buses per hour such as the 49 and 25 service so although they may have one taken off they do not have to wait very long for another one. Unfortunately this city has now become more geared to universities and it is people who have lived here all their lives that are being effected by this.
The people who can help us to have a desperately needed better bus service in Bevendean are our local councillor and Brighton and Hove Bus Service.
