Darjeeling being a place rich in tea industry, its scenic views of the world's third-highest mountain Kanchenjunga, Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, a narrow-gauge mountain railway which is on the UNESCO World Heritage and one of a prestigious Mountaineering Institute not only in India but all over world (Himalayan Mountaineering Institute) yet has not being able to aware our young people regarding the resources which is itself in Darjeeling. Due to which lack of potential platform, lack of awareness, lack of leadership qualities and lack of self responsibility among youths of Darjeeling today has resulted to a drugs related problems and unemployment problems in Darjeeling. So clinging unto, H.Y.A.W is planning a project to aware the young dynamic people of Darjeeling to identify the needs and problems of the community and provide solutions by mobilizing the required resources. This project aims to provide a potential platform for the young adventurers of Darjeeling and to promote Adventure Sports among the Darjeeling and its people. It is also to make people know the value of Himalayan Mountaineering Institute that it is their home institute and make full use of the institute to develop their personality and be a good mountaineer cum adventurer and resourceful youth.
