Why this petition matters

Started by Kate Baldock

The Birdcage walk (also know as St Andrews Walk) is a cut through path via a cemetery/park in Clifton. Many students use it to get from the closest bus stop to their halls of residence. However, as winter approaches it has become evident that the lighting along this walkway is insufficient. The ground is uneven and often slippery due to rain which cannot be seen well with the current lighting.

Please sign this petition so I can use it as evidence to submit with my request for improved lighting along this pathway in Bristol. It is a matter of safety both from potential fall hazards and vulnerability in darkened areas. The local council needs to improve this facility so everyone can make use of the walkway and green space through the winter evenings.
