I want equal health care for everyone, regardless of age and prior medical condition during this pandemic,no one should have to be told that a loved one is to old, with to many previous health issues to get the equipment, medicine, or over all treatment they deserve just because they don't meet a committee or boards requirements. I don't want anyone to have to go through what we are going through right now. My father a hard working man, with prior health issues fell ill with Covid-19 and had to be put on a ventilator, and even though his oxygen levels are good, his doctor said he needs a Lung machine which is being Declined by Baylor Scott and White Hospital in Temple, because they think my dad is to old, and had medical conditions prior to this so the are saving those machines to use with younger people who they claim have a better chance of surviving than old people. To me this is discrimination based on age and disabilities plain and simple. Ask yourself if this was your loved one would this be acceptable to you? If this was you that was in this situation, would you lay down and take it; just waiting to die because they said oh well he isn't worth a chance? How many veterans is this going to affect? This isn't just us it's also those older people that fought for us. I for one will not just let my father lay down and take it !! My father deserves more, I will fight to get him a fair chance to live. He trusted me to do what was best for him and I will not let him down, at least not without a fight. Lets make a stand for all our elderly, sick people that want to at least have a fair chance at Life.
