The United States has always had problems with encouraging young adults to go out and vote; by lowering the voting age to 16, it is likely that adolescents will establish and improve their voting habits and remain politically active. At the age of 16 you are permitted to drive, a privilege that not only puts your own life in danger, but the life of your passengers.

If at 16, young adults are left with such a privilege, voting is something I believe should be allowed too; and education or being informed should matter little, as plenty of adults and elderly proceed in voting with little foreknowledge. Being informed is not and should not be a pre-requisite for voting, it is a human right to decide your own future.
