Why this petition matters

With more Jewish and interfaith families settling into Bernards Township, it’s important to offer more diverse holiday traditions sponsored by the town. Adding a Menorah lighting ceremony during the holidays would reflect the town’s growing cultural diversity and message of inclusion. The menorah is a traditional symbol used to celebrate Hanukkah, also known as the Festival of Lights. This represents a great opportunity for our residents, of all faiths and cultures, to come together in celebration of one another in the joyous holiday season.

By signing this petition, you are showing your support for a town sponsored Menorah lighting ceremony in Bernards Township’s downtown area.
