I own a golden duplex and want to be able to safely put it in a trust for my children without risk of needing to pay renters to move out.

Tenants might have 3 weeks to qualify. But after that they have to compete at market. TOPA is harmful to owners. We don't need it.

ARREGUIN and his Socialist cohorts will keep pushing until they can "Legally" just take our hard earned property away from us under the guise of Eminent domain. They already try to quash Market forces with Rent control, increasing taxes, and the guise of helping the poor and homeless. They won't be happy until property owners are the poor and homeless and will call it wealth distribution1

This is a gross violation of private property rights and a very poorly conceived idea, which will NOT benefit low income aspiring home buyers.

TOPA is communism. It will turn private property into public housing for politicians to feed nonprofit orgs controlled by their cronies salaried $$$ hundreds thousands. It will increase housing costs, deprive middle class small property owners of their freedom and opportunities, and tie owners to fund these corrupt schemes. Stop TOPA!

TOPA is bad for our community. It won’t solve the housing problem but divide the community. Better to build more affordable units.
