Putting a Sidewalk on Soldier Hill Rd and Forest Ave
Putting a Sidewalk on Soldier Hill Rd and Forest Ave
My mother, Teresa Cohen, was struck and killed by a reckless driver on September 3, 2020. It has been a difficult and upsetting year for me, but knowing that something beneficial from her death keeps me positive. There needs to be a sidewalk on this major road to help keep Bergen County residents (and visitors) safe. I am asking for a safe and well-maintained sidewalk to be put in on the corner of Soldier Hill Road and Forest Avenue.
Unfortunately, this was not the first accident on this road due to a lack of adequate sidewalk(s) to keep Bergen County Residents safe. Had there been a safe sidewalk, my mother would have still been here with us, and other people may continue their lives without having a fear of getting injured or worse. I want to make sure that nobody else gets hurt on this road, especially when the solution is so easy to fix.
Additionally, a new apartment complex is being built, so it is logical to assume that more foot traffic will be picking up. Keeping all residents of Paramus, Oradell, or Bergen County as a whole safe should be made a top priority.
