Are you tired of radical revisionists coming into your town and demanding that things change because something "offends them" or "hurts their feelings"? That is what is currently happening in Bentonville, Arkansas. History revisionists are calling for the removal of a monument that has stood in the Bentonville, Arkansas town square for over 100+ years, without issue. It's time we take a stand and let these revisionists know that we reject their way of thinking and "We the people" want the James H. Berry Monument to stay in the Bentonville town square.

Here is a little background on Mr. Berry from a Bentonville, AR native:

"Who was James Henderson Berry?

He was more than a Second Lieutenant in the Confederate Army.

Did you know he served in the Arkansas House of Representatives? Did you know that he also served as Speaker of the House as well? Did you know he served in the U. S. House of Representatives? Did you know he was the 14th Governor of the state of Arkansas? Did you know he was an advocate of minority rights and often acted to defend people of color?

Later in life he worked as an attorney in Bentonville and Bentonville is where he died.

James Henderson Berry is a part of our history and there is more to the man's history than having been a confederate soldier. For him, the call was about protecting states rights and the 10th amendment....not protecting slavery. He feared the Federal Government was gaining too much power over the states.

So, when one of these history revisionists asks you to sign a petition for the removal of his statue from our town square, please feel free to give them a lecture on who James Henderson Berry really was and tell them to stop trying to revise our history."

We, the undersigned, reject/condemn ANY and ALL racist hate groups, of any shape or size...and we are calling for the monument to stay in the Bentonville Town Square, right where it is currently.
