Mady Brown started this petition to Benoit Charette

Petition to Benoit Charette whereas the use of single-use plastic in grocery stores is doing much more harm than good to our environment. We go through tons and tons of plastic each and every day without a single thought going into it. If we do not stop such actions now, when will we ever? We are killing our planet slowly with every plastic wrapper thrown away, we are losing our home through our current habits.

we, the undersigned students of John Abbott call upon the Minister of the Environment and the Fight against Climate Change, Benoit Charette to reduce the use of single-use plastic throughout the province in places such as grocery stores, shipping departments, stores, markets, etc. Doing so would require local shoppers to bring their own reusable jars and bags in grocery stores to reduce the plastic waste that the landfills and oceans are accumulating, and also cutting down on the greenhouse gas emissions caused by plastic production and transportation.
