Homes first. People need homes first. That provides the base from which other solutions can follow.

It is the duty of our city and county officials to serve their constituents - that's why we voted for them. You're responsible for all of us not just the housed folks but all of us! Provide these people with tiny homes, pallet shelters or Conestoga huts. Get them out of the cold and the wet and allow them to heal. Provide them with all of their basic needs. They're human and they deserve to be treated as one. Provdie social services and get them job training. We pay taxes so these services could be provided; now you need to do your job!

I feel every human being deserves safe housing and food and not feel their temporary home is going to be 'swept' away.

To promote the general welfare! It is not only one of the premises of our constitution, it is also one of its promises! As well as insure domestic tranquility! These are lofty goals to be the basis for our constitution, no??? It sure seems our forefathers thought it was an attainable goal.
