Drainage improvements are more impactful on the city that had over 2000 homes flood during Harvey.

We need to fix drainage before spending money on sidewalks.

I live on the 5100 block of Huisache. I want drainage and the excess asphalt taken off my street before sidewalk construction.

Ripping up land and replacing it with concrete will make flooding situations worse!

Not all streets in Bellaire need sidewalks. We are vehemently opposed to a one-size-fits-all idea of a new master-planned community plan for a 100 year old city.

We need to ensure all planning has more of a focus on drainage, with less concrete.

Wayne AND Susan Snow
Bellaire Residents since 1979!!
4904 Spruce St.
(at this address since 1987)

We OPPOSE Sidewalk Construction!
1) We voted for "sidewalk improvements!" Interpretation: Improve Current Sidewalks. NOT Install New Sidewalks!
2) Install Sidewalks where they Might be desired.
3) Use the remaining Bond Funds for Street and Drainage Repair -- which is what WAS voted for!
4) Our residents have Mature Trees and landscaping that will DIE!
We, individually, have a 65+ year old Oak Tree in the path of any sidewalk! It will Surely Die!
This neighborhood was Not designed with sidewalks in the plan! Do NOT "Morph" sidewalks in our neighborhood now!
Quit wasting SO Much Time & Money on this Ludicrous Proposal!!

Even after some work on our street, we still have flooding. Drainage has not been sufficiently addressed and that is a top priority.

The residents came out in force to object to this and the council is ignoring their constituents. We need to spend money on drainage first and foremost.
