Faye Lin Cannon was found dead in the house where she lived with her three adopted sisters and adoptive mother Anke Doehm (David Doehm is not the adoptive father of the children), located on the Belizean island of Ambergris Caye. She was 13 years old. When police officers arrived they took note that the child had bruises and cuts all over her body. When the parents were questioned they stated that she suffered from mental illness and would often throw herself into the wall causing bodily injuries. Both parents were taken into custody, however they were not charged. The body of Faye was taken to the morgue and upon further investigations by Belizean medical examiners, they confirmed that the child was both physically and sexually abused. Investigators questioned the child's school teacher and confirmed that she was indeed an intelligent child with no sign of any sort of mental illness. We, the people of Belize are begging our government to bring forth justice for Faye. David and Anke Doehm failed Faye as parents, instead of providing her with a safe and loving home, they made her life into this tragedy. Please charge the adoptive parents for Faye's tragic passing. She deserves justice just like she deserves peace. Please sign the petition and share. We pray that the right thing will be done!
