It is very very unfortunate that the district administration has ordered the oxygen vendors to stop supply of oxygen to NGOs.
In these troubling times, last year and this year, it is these NGOs which are going above and beyond their call of duty, raising funds and providing much needed relief to the people who are getting treated at home. Not only that, they are providing critical support to patients who are unable to get beds in any hospital let alone the district hospital.
The NGOs are not charging a single NP for the service they provide.
It is the citizens of this great city who are funding this operation.
They’re are more than 400 oxygen cylinders in circulation of these NGOs to the public.
This sudden closure is going to have massive repercussions in terms of patient Care and saving lives.
We have to understand that these NGOs are sharing the load of the already stretched government machinery.
If is very very unfortunate that such a decision is taken

at this juncture without giving any notice to the public.
I appeal to the better sense of the people running the administration to kindly reconsider their decision at once , or we will see many many patients health taking a turn for the worse and God Forbid deaths.

Hope better sense prevails and someone sitting in a position of authority sees this and makes amends.
