I do believe this is a problem in NYS. As a 17 year old it is unrealistic. Most of us have jobs that require us to stay past 9pm. What are you going to do? Say you can’t work that late? No. Also, even if you do get pulled over after 9 the police will let you go anyways. So what’s the point? Unless you are under the influence or have more than 1 passenger then you should be charge but not if you are driving past 9.
