Dead by Daylight is incredibly stressful for killers to play due to the insanely fast matches due to how quickly generators can be completed.

Even the game's best killer players struggle against mediocre survivors because generators can be completed with ease, with matches often lasting between 3-7 minutes at top tier play.

Killers hate having no opportunity to do anything, and survivors hate the needless, random nerfs they keep getting (healing nerfs, vaulting nerfs, pallet changes, etc.), so why not make everyone happy and address the core issue: match speed?

We get it; generators are boring so you don't want to slow them down, so add more required objectives! Give survivors other things to do other than watch a bar fill!

The game right now is so binary - the killer player and survivor players' skill rarely dictates the outcome of the match; it is how quickly they do the gens!

Match speeds is by far the NUMBER 1 issue Dead by Daylight has - with matches ending so quickly that survivors abandon everything and rush to unhook teammates because it's the only good amount of points they can get or else the match ends before they get any points!
